Budapest, Vienna, and Prague are the most beautiful of all European cities.  They are vibrant, full of culture, Old World history and charm.   The Traveling Professor invites you on a journey not soon to be forgotten.  Top hotels, exciting itinerary, interesting and engaging professional guides, wonderful excursions.  All this with a small group of 10-14 adult travelers.

PRELIMINARY ITINERARY

Day 1:  Arrival in Budapest
Check in at the top-rated, centrally located Hotel La Prima Fashion.  Perfectly located, it is near shopping, restaurants, and attractions.  After everyone is well-rested, we will get to know each other with a spectacular evening dinner cruise on the Danube.  Budapest is presented as a glittering gem on this panoramic cruise down the famous river.

Day 2:  Budapest
So much to see and do - start the first full day with a professionally guided tour of the city.  The remainder of the day is on your own with a personal “key to the city” – 48 hours of free public transportation and VIP admission to nearly every attraction with the Budapest Card.  In the evening we’ll meet for dinner at a spot right in the Old Town.

Day 3:  Budapest
Your city card gives VIP entrance to all the attractions in Budapest.  Spend the day on your own or with Steve & Linda exploring the city.  Choose from the Opera House, Buda Castle and Matthias Church, Memento Park, Hungarian National Gallery, History Museum, and much, much more.

Day 4:  Arrival in Vienna
After a spectacular arrival into Vienna, check in at the Hotel am Konzerthaus.  In the afternoon, let’s do a food tour of the best markets and shops in Vienna followed by a stroll in the charming city center.

Day 5:  Vienna

Get to know the history and beauty of Vienna a professionally guided private tour.  Without exception, Vienna is the most culturally rich city in Europe, known for its music, art, and food.   You will learn how much there is to enjoy here and think about when you will return.

Day 6:  Vienna
With your Vienna City Pass  visit the Spanish Riding School, enter the glorious museums of the Museum Quarter, analyze the Freud Museum, visit the historic churches and palaces. Take the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus, visit the Belvedere, Albertina, and Schonbrunn Grand Palace and much more.

Day 7:  Prague

We depart Vienna for a private coach transfer with a final destination of Prague.  On the way we will stop in Cesky Krumloy, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.  It is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe.  Fronted by the Viatva River, it is a majestic castle on the hill.  This may well be the surprise of the tour.   Late in the afternoon check in at the Grand Hotel Bohemia, one of the best located hotels in Prague.

Day 8:  Prague

Besides being breathtaking, Prague is one of the most fun cities we visit on all of our tours.  Of course there are the castles, cathedrals, and historic sites.   We love visiting the famous “Lennon Wall” and enjoying the inexpensive but hearty meals.  We have a guided tour in the morning to introduce you to this grand city.  Your 48-hour Prague Card gives unfettered access to the Prague Castle, Jewish Museum, National Gallery and all the great attractions of the city.

Day 9:  Prague
A free day in the city.   The only issue you will have is getting in everything you wanted to see.  In the evening, let’s take a final cruise down the Danube for an evening perspective of this city.
