Tips for Seeing this Amazing Destination

The Traveling Professor has been visiting on his small group tours to Croatia and we have a trip scheduled for this year and 2 for 2019.  Located on the Adriatic Sea, I expected the food to be more Italian than Mediterranean, and I was wrong.  The coastline is staggeringly beautiful, the cities are ancient and exciting.  We found the people to be incredibly warm and welcoming. A Cruise Along the Dalmatian Coast

are europeans rudeI am a semi-regular guest on the Scott Thompson radio program in Hamilton, Ontario.   In between interviews on the eclipse and Jerry Lewis, Scott spoke with me on-air about stories he heard about tourists no longer being welcome in Europe such as this one.  He also had some anecdotal stories of being treated rudely in Italy.  We had about 10 minutes to talk on air and afterwards, my website lit up like a Christmas tree.  See my comments on tourists being treated rudely or not being welcome in Europe.

Tips for Flying Smart in the Winter

sleep in airportBad weather, especially in the winter, is a primary cause of flights being cancelled or delayed.  This weekend we saw a good percentage of flights get cancelled due to snow and cold weather. If you flight is cancelled or delayed, don't count on the airlines to help out. They might provide some food vouchers or they might provide a hotel, but don't count on it.  However, there are some steps you can take to minimize the chance you will be on a cancelled flight and there are steps to be taken in case a flight is cancelled or delayed.
