4 of the Best Hotels in Spain

4 of the Best Hotels in Spain

Spain is one of the most exciting destinations in the world, and The Traveling Professor has been running small group tours to Spain for hundreds of travelers over the years.  Take a look at The Professor's recommendations for the best hotels in Spain.

Hotel Casa 1800 Seville:   Seville is one of our favorite stops on Traveling Professor small group tours to Spain and one of our favorite hotels is the Hotel Casa 1800.  It has an air of rustic luxury about it and the location cannot be beat.  It is located along a leafy street of orange trees, not even a stone's throw away from the Cathedral.  Great tapas bars are steps outside of the door of this hotel.  A bonus is the lovely pool on the roof of the hotel as well as afternoon tea served in the courtyard.  Reserve early, this hotel fills up quickly.

Hotel Preciados:  After visiting Madrid multiple times on our Traveling Professor small group tours to Spain, we don't think there is anywhere else we would stay.   Travelers will love the location just far enough away from the Puerto del Sol to be nice and quiet, but close to the action. It is located on a pedestrian only venue, giving the opportunity to do what  Madrileños like to do best - stroll around the city.  The hotel is more modern in style and features a terrific restaurant.  Travelers will wake up an extra half hour each morning because they will be so excited by the delicious breakfast served daily.  It is another 4-star recommendation that should be seriously considered on a trip to Madrid.

Hotel Casa del Capitel Nazari:  If it is authentic you want, authentic you will get while staying at the Hotel Casa del Capitel Nazari.  The architecture and decor is old style Spain with all the comforts one could imagine.  To top it off, it is located Granada's Alhambra.  Travelers like staying in the old town part of Granada, with open air restaurants, good dining options, and close to everything.  While only a 3-star hotel, I would not stay anywhere else.

Hotel 1898 Barcelona:  If being in the middle of all the action is what you want, you will get it here.  A big, grand hotel located right on Las Ramblas, this is the place to stay when visiting big and grand Barcelona.  To start the day, the breakfast is big, real big.  Step outside the door and you have everything that could ever be wanted, restaurants, shops, attractions, all nearby.  On our small group tours to Spain, we always stay at the Hotel 1898 in Barcelona.
