The antiquated charm of France and Europe is alive and well in Montréal and Québec City. These two delightful cities have an enchanting past waiting for you to experience now. Their rich French heritage is ever-present, from the language to the food to the cobblestone streets. Cosmopolitan Montréal features pockets of old-world France scattered about. The only walled-in city in North America, Québec City seems to be more European than almost any place across the Atlantic.
Join our small group of 8-14 travelers on this magical Traveling Professor small group tour to Montréal and Québec City.
Neighborhood Walks, Markets, and Gardens: In Montréal a professionally guided tour takes us to Place Jacques-Cartier, the Old Port, and Notre Dame Basilica. We will duck in and out of historic buildings and stroll down cobblestone streets while hearing about the history and legends of this old French settlement. The next day we go about town in our private van to visit markets, Mont Royal, the Olympic Stadium and browse through local neighborhoods. A half day scenic train ride brings us to Québec City. Visit the ghosts and legends of the famed Le Château Frontenac hotel. A walking tour of Old Québec City will make you think you have traveled a world away. We'll also take a half-day excursion outside of town to visit the towering falls at Montmorency. We'll go over to l’Ile d’Orléans making stops for chocolate and then on to a cider house. It's a wonderful day!
